Where to begin. As of the beginning of the month I was laid off. So I have started working on a few projects for both myself and for clients. Kcwebgeeks.com has been growing steadily and Kansascitybands.net is coming along nicely. I will be moving into a new apartment not to far from where I currently live at the end of the week. I’m still hunting for a job but not worrying about it to much. Camp Quality this summer was a total blast. I however miss the kids and everyone who made the week simply amazing.

More of the saga to come. I might even have some photos

It can come from way down deep during the tough times, or it can be found in close friends and family.

True strength comes from heart ache, pain, loss, or horrible situations.

There are very few of us who are able to harness that strength and rise to a new level above those who will simply carry on.

Those that rise to that new level will always prevail, overcome and survive.

The one major thing that always prevents people from moving on, or dealing with the events at hand is taking that first step.

Letting oneself become completely vulnerable to allow for the opportunity to pick themselves up.

Many choose to do that on their own, while others would rather confide in family and friends to help them battle through.

That is what separates those who strive to find their inner strength and those who simply run.

Those that just carry on will always continue to run from the hardships in order to just ignore the problems thinking they will just disappear.

Those people who keep running will eventually have to hit a dead end, or they will continue to run in circles.

Through all of those hardships comes true strength. It opens a door to a new awareness of strength in ones self.

One that has taken the time to hit rock bottom and say “why am I here” and “how am I going to get out”. Has truly found the first steps to recovery and happiness.

A person that has truly relied on their inner strength has seen their inner spirit.

In doing so they have stumbled upon a great mystery in life, that mystery of the realization of who that person really is.

No one ever knows who they are until they find it or in many cases that inner self shines through in the roughest times helping them accomplish anything during the rough periods.

Finding true strength leads to helping find oneself.

Thus allowing the person to be truly happy with not only their surroundings, but to be truly happy with themselves.

We should not spend our time feeling sorry for ourselves instead we should feel sorry for those who continue to run from their problems as well as running from the opportunity to truly find out who they are.

Until one finds the inner strength to love themselves they will truly never see the potential they truly have that everyone else sees.

I was watching a movie the other night called Secondhand Lions . One of the scenes made me sit and think about life. In the scene the 2 brothers and the nephew are sitting at an old diner. They are eating their meal when a group of rowdy young teenagers come in. One of the boys goes to reach for Hubs food and he brushes the teenagers hand away. The boy then says

“Hey, who do you think you are, huh?”

Hub then grabs the boy by the throat and says

“I’m Hub McCann. I’ve fought in two World Wars and countless smaller ones on three continents. I led thousands of men into battle with everything from horses and swords to artillery and tanks. I’ve seen the headwaters of the Nile, and tribes of natives no white man had ever seen before. I’ve won and lost a dozen fortunes, KILLED MANY MEN and loved only one woman with a passion a FLEA like you could never begin to understand. That’s who I am. NOW, GO HOME, BOY!”

That quote made me think “Who am I”

Here is what I have come up with.

My name is Adam Nutting im 24 years old and I have……

survived cancer

been cancer free for 14 years.

lived in Europe.

graduated from high school in another country.

gone to the college of my dreams

graduated from college with a degree

the ability to use my degree on a daily basis as Web Engineer.

a great job where I love the work, the people, and the atmosphere.

loved and lost and will love again.

a passion for an organization that very few people would understand unless you have seen the magic that happens at Camp Quality

many friends who believe in me and support me.

a very close family who also supports and believes in me

been inspired as well as been an inspiration.

Now with that said who are you?

Just remember that there is someone always watching you. You are someones inspiration, their hero, their friend.

We cant be perfect all the time, but we can at least be ourselves all the time.
